Guided Notes
When?
This support should be added when the teacher is delivering a lot of content at once. Each student should receive a copy of the notes with the purpose of supporting certain students.
How?

Cloze activities such as these support a variety of learners. Asking students to fill in the blanks provides a purpose for listening. Ultimately all students will receive completed notes at the end of the lesson.

- The teacher has to decide the most important words to focus on.
- The teacher pre-types notes for the lesson, omitting key words or phrases. Main ideas could be pre-underlined for students.
- Students will be required to fill in the blanks.
- As a class, the notes will be reviewed so students have correct and complete copies of the notes
